Introduction
The company  was established as a Joint Venture with the then AVIC in 1997 and was the first Chinese company to be accredited with Aerospace Standard AS9100 . 10 years on the company is now a strategic partner as part of the global presence.
 
Responsible for the manufacture and delivery of electrical and electrometrical assemblies to the Commercial Aerospace Customer base.  
 
Developed on a sound foundation and with ongoing support from the Parent Company in The Netherlands, the company utilises sound business systems and processes, supported by a strong set of company values which is focused on becoming the Centre of Excellence for Commercial Aerospace manufacturing.
 
             
Introduction of role of Manager-Manufacturing
This job description gives an overview of the tasks and responsibilities to be undertaken by the position of Manager-Manufacturing within the Company's China operation, and specifies the requirements that will apply to a functionary holding this position.
                       
Job specification
Optimise utilisation of resources to maximise operational performance and enhance Customer satisfaction within the constraints of the company’s aerospace quality accreditations. Manage operations to maximise internal financial performance. Ensure smooth cooperation of operation with all partner departments
 
Organisation
The Manager-Manufacturing reports hierarchically and operationally to the General Manager, with a functional reporting line to the Director of Operations in the Netherlands
 
In this role the Manager-Manufacturing is a key member of the Company Management Team, and has direct responsibility for two key functions namely; Leadership and Management of Cross Functional Integrated Project Teams and leading the Innovation Group.
 
Supportive tasks embedded with the above organisation responibilities include but are not limited to Manufacturing, Facilities, Internal Account / Project Management, Manufacturing Engineering, Project Reporting, Risk Management, Business Improvements, Strategic Planning.

General

  • For this position it is important to set up and maintain a good co-operation between the departments involved in the operational processes.
  • Take care that all subordinates work and behave in accordance with the applicable rules of conduct and discipline as prescribed in the Company Manual.
  • As a member of the Management Team, the Manager Manufacturing has a shared responsibility for most general policy items of FE-CN.
 
Education, training and experience requirements
  • (Technical) College or University level (Western standard). Bachelor or Master Degree.
  • Engineering Discipline in Industrial/Production engineering an advantage

  •  ‘Hands On’ management style
  • Strong command of English
  • Team player in a multi-national, multi discipline environment
